Core Course Content

The following modules have been iteratively developed through hundreds of hours of coaching clients. They represent the key skills required to succeed as an effective, future-proofed leader.

Module 1 - What is Leadership

There are many conflicting views about what Leadership is, and how it is different to Management. This module seeks to highlight how they are of equal importance and ultimately complement each other.

Module 2 - Know Yourself

Effective leadership starts with self-awareness. This module helps you understand your values, biases, energy, strengths, blind spots and default behaviours so you don't self-sabotage.

Module 3 - Know Your Business

Leaders must understand the system they operate within. This module focuses on commercial awareness, organisational mechanics and strategic context.

Module 4 - Know Your People

People don’t perform at their best by accident. This module explores motivation, capability and how to understand individual drivers, creating the conditions where people can do their best work.

Module 5 - Clarity & Control

Ambiguity kills momentum. This module focuses on designing simple systems to ensure priorities are understood and appropriate control is applied without micromanagement.

Module 6 - Communication & Consensus

Leadership lives or dies by communication. This module sharpens your ability to communicate clearly, listen actively and build alignment. You’ll learn how to seek consensus and exert influence.

Module 7 - Culture & Cohesion

Culture is shaped by what leaders tolerate, reward and model. This module examines how to build a high-performing team culture that supports performance, resilience and shared responsibility.

Module 8 - Complexity & Consequences

Leadership decisions rarely have simple outcomes. This module builds your ability to think systemically, anticipate second and third-order effects, and make sound decisions in complex environments.

Module 9 - Collaborate & Compromise

Modern leadership is rarely a solo act. This module focuses on working across boundaries, managing competing priorities and navigating tension constructively using compromise.

Module 10 - Composure & Confidence

How you show up under pressure matters. This module develops emotional control, presence and confidence in challenging situations learning techniques to remain calm, credible and decisive.

Module 11 - Crisis & Change

Change and disruption are constants. This module equips you to lead through uncertainty and crisis with clarity and intent learning how to stabilise teams, communicate effectively and make decisions.

Module 12 - Culpability & Commitment

Leadership means owning outcomes. This module addresses accountability, responsibility and ethical leadership, how to take ownership and create a culture where responsibility is shared not avoided.

Module 13 - Coping & Capacity

This module highlights how Coping helps you manage stress in the moment and stay functional under pressure, but Capacity determines how much pressure you can absorb without tipping into overwhelm.

Module 14 - Continuously Cycle

Leadership is not a one-off achievement. Adopting a continuous improvement mindset to review, adapt and refine how you lead over time through feedback loops will keep you relevant and effective.

Module 15 - Blinding Glimpses of the Obvious

This final module challenges leaders to confront what they already know but may be ignoring. It focuses on common leadership truths that are often overlooked in practice.
